Quatro Raízes

“Quatro Raízes” is a short documentary film about the Berlin-based music band Aroeiras who play traditional Brazilian music such as Forró, and Samba de Coco. Members Andreza (Brazil), Ernestine (Germany), Haline (Brazil), and Sabina (Bolivia) formed the band in 2024 and have become a tight-knit group ever since. Quatro Raízes explores Aroeiras’ musical backgrounds, passion, and journey with individual stories converging into one collective identity and narrative paralleling the progression of the band.

Core Memories

The Pilot episode of Core Memories delves into the transgenerational shared memories Ricarda and her child associate with the movie “Kiki's Delivery Service” and a Strawberry Pistachio cake. The episode unveils layers of the protagonist's life and personality touching on themes such as her passion for baking, her love for her community, as well as her experiences and aspirations as a parent.
